Virginia Softball Announces 2013 Schedule

Cavaliers return eight starters and 13 letterwinners

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. Virginia softball head coach Eileen Schmidt announced Monday (Dec. 3) the Cavaliers' 2013 schedule, which will feature 11 participants from the 2012 NCAA Tournament squads.
Virginia returns eight starters and 13 letterwinners from a squad that went 26-25 (8-13 ACC) in Schmidt's fifth season at the helm of her alma mater.

Eileen Schmidt Softball Camps

All camps are cancelled for summer, due to Coach Schmidt's retirement from the UVA Softball program. If you registered already for a summer event, refund back on your card will happen by 1st week of June.

Held on the historic Grounds of the University of Virginia, Eileen Schmidt Softball Camps is one of the premier softball camp experiences in the nation. Campers can expect to receive comprehensive instruction in all phases of the game and the opportunity to showcase their abilities through various competitions and live games.

Our camps utilize "The Park", located on North Grounds at UVA. The Park is home to several multiple-use fields as well as the varsity softball field, used exclusively by The University of Virginia Softball team. In case of inclement weather (or in the case of the Winter Camps), "The Cage" will be utilized for indoor instruction purposes.

Camp staff includes University of Virginia Head Softball Coach Eileen Schmidt, Associate Head Coach Heidi Freitager, Assistant Coach Yolanda McRae, and other qualified personnel. The NCAA prohibits free/reduced admission for prospect-aged individuals. Eileen Schmidt Softball Camps are open to any and all entrants limited only by number, age, grade level, and/or gender.
