The UNM Softball Team plays home games at the Lobo Softball Field, one of the best facilities in the country. The playing surface is natural grass and the dimensions of the field are 220 down the lines, and 225 to straight away center field. read more

Welcome to Coach Congleton Softball Camps at the University of New Mexico! Our camps and clinics focus on the development and improvement of your skills as a softball player. Our camps are highly instructional. Instruction will serve all ages and skill sets. Thank you for your interest in Coach Congleton Softball Camps and we look forward to working with you!

 

Our camps range in ages and we should have a program to fit your needs. If you do not see a date that works for you at this time please check back to the site as we add new sessions often.

 

Our softball camps and prospect events in Albuquerque are a great opportunity to take your game to the next level. Each camp is hosted by our college staff here at UNM.

Description

This camp will allow the participants to experience playing under the lights at Lobo Field. Clinic instruction will include basic offensive and defensive fundamental skills development.

 

Equipment: Each player must bring her own softball equipment. Players should bring a glove, bat, helmet, cleats, turf shoes, hat, and any other equipment they feel necessary to compete. Please mark all items with name of camper.

Lobo Softball Field is located south of The Pit. Exit off I-25, just south of the Big-I, at Avenida Cesar Chavez and head east. Turn right (south) on University Boulevard. The Pit and the UNM Ticket Office will be on the right. Turn right into the first entrance just past The Pit. Drive through The Pit parking lot, passing the Ticket Office on your right and the Lobo Baseball Field on your left.

What if I have to cancel a camp?
We do not offer refunds on canceled campers, just a future camp credit if you decide to cancel, but we do have what is called "Cancellation Protection". We offer basic Cancellation Protection to allow participants some peace of mind in case plans change. This allows us to keep our prices low and provide the best service possible. Due at the time of registration, Cancellation Protection entitles you to a full refund of camp fees should you cancel your registration more than 14 days prior to the start of an overnight camp, and 7 days prior to the start of a day camp. If you cancel within 14 or 7 days of the start of your session, we will give you a camp credit for all money paid. The credit is valid for three years from camp date at any of our national locations. Credit with insurance is transferable to family members or friends, and good toward a future camp.

 

Please check your email regularly as this is our primary way we communicate. Any additional information that we need to convey as the camp draws closer will be passed on to you via the e-mail address that you supplied when you signed up for camp. Description

The University of New Mexico softball staff will be hosting a youth camp this June. Topics to be covered include hitting, baserunning, infield and outfield defensive skills. Camp will be held at the Lobo Softball Field. All participants will work closely with the New Mexico coaching staff as well as members of the 2018-2019 Lobo softball team.

Monday - Wednesday 9:00am 3:00pm

Thursday 9:00am Noon

 

Equipment: Each player must bring her own softball equipment. Players should bring a glove, bat, helmet, cleats, turf shoes, hat, sunscreen, and any other equipment they feel necessary to compete. Please mark all items with name of camper. Bring Snacks.

Description

Customized to provide a personal experience for the players, or teams that are interested in taking their game to the next level! By participating in the Lobo Player Academy you will have the opportunity to train like a Lobo. Consisting of two days of complete softball training customized to fit the needs of each individual player, the Lobo Player Academy provides young players with a unique insight into the world of the Lobo Softball program, creating an experience that will last a lifetime. 

 

Each academy is limited to a maximum of 20 players between the ages of 8 -18. Because the groups are so small, each player will receive more attention, personalized training, and have the opportunity to interact directly with current and former Lobo players as well as the Lobo coaching staff.

 

Over the two-day academy, each player will get the chance to live the life of a Lobo softball player - practice where they practice, & receive the same level of coaching and training as the real LOBOS.  All campers will be assigned an actual locker in the Lobo Softball Clubhouse - just like a real player! Mental game training will also be incorporated into each Lobo Player Academy.

 

Equipment: Batting helmet, batting gloves, bat, athletic clothing, cleats or turf shoes, visor or hat & water bottle. Catchers will need to bring their own gear.

 

T-Shirt will be given to all campers attending this event.
