Showcase Description

The clinic is designed for all student-athletes in grades 9-12 who have a serious interest in playing softball at the collegiate level.

The clinic will provide an opportunity to showcase your skills, be evaluated by PITT staff, and get to know the PITT softball program.

The Clinic is open to any and all registrants (limited only by, age, number, grade level and /or gender )

This clinic will be broken down into two sessions:

Advanced Skill development:
During this session the players will be divided into their positions where PITT staff and players will instruct on advanced position specific skills.

The position breakdown are as follows: infield, outfield, pitching, and catching.

Note: if you sign up as a pitcher you MUST bring a catcher (dad , coach, friend, etc). If the catcher wants to participate in skill work they can not catch a pitcher.

Live In-Game Evaluation:
In addition to a skill development session, we will have some live at bats and in-game situations to further

Equipment to bring:
Each camper must bring her own softball equipment. Players should bring a Bat, Helmet and Glove.

Please check your email regularly as this is our primary way we communicate. Any additional information that we need to convey as the camp draws closer will be passed on to you via the e-mail address that you supplied when you signed up for camp. Please make it a habit to check your e-mail daily, this will eliminate any confusion and or miscommunication

Showcase Check-in

Clinic Check-In and warm up will take place at 8:00am at the Charles L. Cost Center.

Directions

The clinic will be held at the Charles L. Cost Center- the indoor facility for the University of Pittsburgh Softball team. This building is located on Pitt's Upper Campus, next to Trees Hall and across from the Peterson Events Center.

Parking Information

Parking is available in the OC Parking lot. Many times there is a fee for parking.

This is a day camp and no overnight accommodations are provided.

Miscellaneous Information

What if I have to cancel a camp?
We do not offer refunds on cancelled campers, just a future camp credit if you decide to cancel, but we do have what is called "Cancellation Protection".
We offer basic Cancellation Protection to allow participants some peace of mind in case plans change. This allows us to keep our prices low and provide the best service possible. Due at the time of registration, Cancellation Protection entitles you to a full refund of camp fees should you cancel your registration more than 14 days prior to the start of an overnight camp, and 7 days prior to the start of a day camp. If you cancel within 14 or 7 days of the start of your session, we will give you a camp credit for all money paid. The credit is valid for three years from camp date at any of our national locations.
Credit with insurance is transferable to family members or friends, and good toward a future camp.
