Sacramento State Summer Softball Camp

Camp Description
Each camper will receive personalized instruction from the coaching staff.
Through specialized stations and game competition, the camp will focus on
the development of individual player fundamentals as well as team concepts.
The Sacramento State softball camp will focus on providing instruction in
proper techniques of hitting, bunting, base running, sliding, stealing, fielding,
throwing, position play, team strategies, mental strategies and more.
For
optimal learning, campers will be split into beginner and advanced groups
based on skill level. Campers will also receive a camp certificate and t-shirt
for attending.
Enrollment is limited to 60 participants, so register early!
General Information
Improve Your Defense: Learn how to play winning defense both as an
individual and as a team. Learn rundowns, first and third situations, the
transition game, various bunt defenses and more.
Improve Your Swing: Learn proper techniques of hitting, bunting, running
slap, how to work the strike zone and how to prepare for your next at bat.
See your swing on video tape and receive a written analysis of how you
can improve your hitting and bunting.
Improve Your Game: Learn first hand from collegiate players about offensive and defensive strategies, special situations, how to improve your
mental game and drills to take you to the next level. You'll get an opportunity
to learn from the big leaguers.
Discount
Group Rate (5 or more): $225 per person.
*All group reservations must be made by calling (916) 278-7965 or
e-mailing lori.perez@csus.edu the softball office a minimum of one week
prior to the camp to receive a discount.
Equipment: Each camper must bring his own softball equipment. Players should bring your glove,
cleats and a bat. Be sure to put your name on your equipment because
others may bring the same kind of gear.
All Sacramento State camps are open to any and all entrants
per NCAA rules, but are limited as noted by number, age,
grade level and/or gender.
Please check your email regularly as this is our primary way we communicate. Any additional information that we need to convey as the camp draws closer will be passed on to you via the e-mail address that you supplied when you signed up for camp. Please make it a habit to check your e-mail daily, this will eliminate any confusion and or miscommunication.
Camp Check-in
Please check in at Hornet Field 30 minutes prior to the start time.
Camp Waiver Information
Sacramento State Athletics purchases secondary excess ac-
cidental medical coverage, in the amount of $25,000, for all
individual clinic participants. There is a deductible which shall
be the parent's responsibility. Teams must provide a certifi cate
of insurance. Please be sure to read the attached liability re-
lease and medical treatment authorization form and provide
all information requested. The parent/legal guardian must sign
the liability release form and medical treatment authorization
before any child can participate.

Directions
Eastbound 50: Exit at Power Inn Road/
Howe Ave. Left at College Town Dr. and around campus.
Westbound 50: Exit at Howe Ave. Go straight ahead on
College Town Dr. and around campus. The softball fi eld is
on the other side of the tennis courts.
Parking Information
$6 daily parking
permits are available on the top floor of the parking garage
adjacent to the softball field. Weekly permits are also available
for $13.25, and must be arranged prior to the start of camp.

Meals
Camp does not provide lunch, so bring your own sack lunch.
Accommodations

Merchandise
Hornet Softball merchandise will be available for purchase at this session.
Miscellaneous Information
Refund Policy:
In case of an emergency, campers may request a refund of their registration fee. If the request is made at least seven days prior to the start
of a camp session, there shall be no penalty fee. Requests made less
than seven days prior to the start of a session will incur a $15 charge.
There will be a $20 fee for checks returned by bank. Stopped payments do not constitute a refund. Refunds must be requested.

conditions and instructions.
