Camp Description

Our Advanced Skills Camp will be held on August 13th and 14th and is open to players ages 13 and up.

This camp is designed for advanced and high school softball players. Players will be introduced to advanced skill instruction in all aspects of the game, including hitting, baserunning, pitching and defense. Offensive instruction will include our hitting philosophy, positive mental approach in the batter's box, and offensive tools. Defensive instruction will be position-specific; sessions will focus on topics such as glove work, position-based technique, and daily drills. Pitchers will be instructed in mechanics and mental approach in the circle. Players will be introduced to many new drills and tools that can be used to improve their production.

The schedule for our Advanced Skills Camp will enable athletes to learn new skills on Tuesday and apply these skills in game simulations throughout the day on Wednesday. Tuesday's session will focus on specific skill instruction and technique in all areas. Wednesday's activities will include more full-team instruction and situational instruction.

General Information

Camp Philosophy
Jacklets Softball School is conducted to maximize the amount of information and instruction given to attending athletes. Our goal is to provide appropriate instruction for players at every level while keeping group numbers low to provide indi-vidual attention. Fundamental skills taught at these sessions will be consistent with information used with our Division I athletes.
