St. John's softball Head Coach Bob Guerriero has announced that the Red Storm will host a Winter Softball Clinic on Sunday, Jan. 20 from 9:00am to 1:00pm at Taffner Field House. The clinic will cover defensive and offensive aspects of the game as well as pitching and catching.
Guerrieros current staff and players will instruct participants, ranging from 9th grade through 12th grade, on the skills necessary to play at the highest level from top Division I athletes.
In addition to learning and enhancing defensive skills, participants will learn hitting techniques, be put through a hitting circuit and have the opportunity to face live pitching from other campers, alongside several St. John's current athletes.
Conducted by the current softball staff and current players on the team, aspiring collegiate pitchers will also have the opportunity to spend time improving their fundamentals and continuing along with their overall development.
Registration begins at 8:30am and the cost is $125.00 per participant for the defensive and hitting sessions of the camp. The cost will be $150.00 per participant to enter the hitting, defensive and pitching sections of the clinic. All participants are asked to bring their own equipment (i.e. bats, gloves, catchers gear, etc...) and ensure they arrive 30 minutes prior to the 9:00am start time.

This is not an "overnight" camp. Players traveling from out of town will be responsible for securing their own accommodations.
What if I have to cancel a camp? We do not offer refunds on canceled campers, just a future camp credit if you decide to cancel, but we do have what is called "Cancellation Protection". We offer basic Cancellation Protection to allow participants some peace of mind in case plans change. This allows us to keep our prices low and provide the best service possible. Due at the time of registration, Cancellation Protection entitles you to a full refund of camp fees should you cancel your registration more than 14 days prior to the start of an overnight camp, and 7 days prior to the start of a day camp. If you cancel within 14 or 7 days of the start of your session, we will give you a camp credit for all money paid. The credit is valid for three years from camp date at any of our camps. Credit with insurance is transferable to family members or friends, and good toward a future camp.
