Drills and Skills.....
Batting: Will work on batting stance, hit and
runs, bunting, pull hitting, opposite field hitting, and hitting for power
Fielding: Will focus on groundballs, pop-fly's,
relay throws, fly-balls, pickles, and turning
Pitching: Will work on communication between catcher and pitcher, types of pitches,
pitching motions, and release points.
Base-running: Will practice hit and runs,
stealing, tagging up, and pickles.
Overnight Campers: $525.00

Staff: Heather Ross
Ross is currently the Head Softball Coach at Lesley College after spending three seasons as an Assistant Coach at UMass Lowell. Ross joined her alma mater in August of 2013 during UMass Lowell's inaugural Division 1 season in the America East Conference where she played a crucial role in helping the student-athletes transition during this elevation period. On the field she managed the infield and worked with the hitters, and recruited nationally, lead community services initiatives, and directed camps off the field.
During her playing career as a River Hawk, Ross helped lead her team to the NE-10 Tournament Championship as a freshman and to the NCAA Tournament East Region semifinal. She led the River Hawks to appearances in the NE-10 Tournament all four years of her career. In her senior year, Ross was ranked atop the NE-10 leaders in double plays, put outs, chances, at bats, doubles, triples, RBI's, and total bases. Ross excelled in the classroom at UML as well. She was named to the NE-10 conference Commissioner's Honor Roll for four consecutive semesters and was tabbed as one of the 2011 Scholar Athlete recipients for Academic and Athletic achievement. Ross graduated from UMass Lowell ranked among the program's top ten in career leaders for games played, doubles, home runs, total bases, and tied the single season win record with her 2011 team.
Prior to returning to UMass Lowell, Ross was an assistant coach at Emmanuel College for two seasons. She served as the Saints' hitting, infield and catching coach. Ross also works as the Director of Softball Operations and the Baseball Administrator for the New England Nor'Easters located at Extra Innings-Tewksbury. She has spent the past 2 years building the Nor'Easters Softball Program from the ground up and currently has 70 players in her program representing teams 10u - 16u.
The Waltham, Mass. native graduated from UMass Lowell in 2011 with a Bachelor of Liberal Arts Degree and in 2013 with a Master of Arts Degree in Social and Economic Development.
Abby Lynne Lavigne
Abby is an Accredited Interscholastic Coach by the National Federation of State High School Associations. She coaches a competitive 16U travel team based at Sluggers Academy in Medfield, as well as at Brimmer and May in Chestnut Hill. Prior, Abby coached at Holderness School, where she led the Varsity Softball team in a record-breaking season. Abby played second base at Pine Manor College in Chestnut Hill, MA for a NCAA Division III title holding coach, where she was also named the Scholar Athlete of the Year.

Any additional information that we need to convey as the camp draws closer will be passed on to you via the e-mail address that you supplied when you signed up for camp. Please make it a habit to check your e-mail daily, this will eliminate any confusion and or miscommunication.
A camp credit is issued to any camper who must
cancel prior to camp. The credit will be in the amount paid by the camper.
Any cancellation within 5 days of the start of camp will result in a camp
credit minus $100 cancellation fee. The credit is transferrable to another
family member and is good through the following camp season. Cash
refunds are not offered.
Overnight Campers: Check in will be from 12:30pm-1:00pm on Monday July 10th at the dorms, which will be announced closer to the start of camp.
Extended Day Campers: Check in will be from 12:30pm-:00pm on Monday July 10th at the dorms, which will be announced closer to the start of camp. Campers should be dropped off at 9:00am and picked up at 8:30pm each day after the first.
Day Campers: Check in will be from 12:30pm-1:00pm on Monday July 10th at the dorms, which will be announced closer to the start of camp. Campers should be dropped off at 9:00am and picked up at 4:00pm each day after the first.
Check Out: All Campers will check out at 4:00pm Thursday July 13th at the Softball Field.

Overnight campers at the Revolution Softball Camp will sleep on campus in dormitories. The staff lives in the dorms and chaperones all the off field/evening activities to provide supervision.
