Camp Description

 

Welcome to Revolution Softball Camp at Sacred Heart University.

Our camps are designed for athletes to learn, develop, and enhance their skills in all phases of softball.

We provide the opportunity to become better softball players by hiring some of the best coaches and players in the sport today. Our staff is eager to help you improve and develop into the best player possible!

General Information

 

Drills and Skills.....

Batting: Will work on batting stance, hit and runs, bunting, pull hitting, opposite field hitting, and hitting for power

Fielding: Will focus on groundballs, pop-fly's, relay throws, fly-balls, pickles, and turning double plays

Pitching: Will work on communication between catcher and pitcher, types of pitches, pitching motions, and release points.

Base-running: Will practice hit and runs, stealing, tagging up, and pickles.

Cost:
Overnight Campers: $585.00 • Includes softball training, team bonding, housing, meals, and activities.
Extended Day Campers: $485.00 • Includes softball training, team bonding, lunch, dinner, and activities.
Day Campers: $375.00 • Includes softball training and lunch.

Staff:
Elizabeth Luckie
Sacred Heart University's Softball Camp will be directed by Sacred Heart's Head Softball Coaches Elizabeth "Bippy" Luckie and Pam London. Bippy and Pam are now in their 26th year at Sacred Heart and have earned 523 wins. They have appeared in 10 NCAA Tournament Appearances as either a player or coach.
In 2009, Luckie and London led their program to their first ever NEC Championship, earning a spot in the NCAA Tournament at the Division-1 level. They then went on to further Pioneer history in earning the school's first win in any sport at a D-1 NCAA tournament with a 3-1 win over Cornell.
Bippy and Pam anchored the middle infield for Sacred Heart in 1984 and 1985 and lead their team to an 89-12 record, which was highlighted by back to back appearances in the D-2 final four. In 1997, Luckie was recognized for her collegiate softball exploits when she was inducted into the Connecticut Scholastic and Collegiate Softball Hall of Fame.

Other staff members will include assistant coaches, talented local high school coaches, and college players.

Any additional information that we need to convey as the camp draws closer will be passed on to you via the e-mail address that you supplied when you signed up for camp. Please make it a habit to check your e-mail daily, this will eliminate any confusion and or miscommunication.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
A camp credit is issued to any camper who must cancel prior to camp. The credit will be in the amount paid by the camper. Any cancellation within 5 days of the start of camp will result in a camp credit minus $100 cancellation fee. The credit is transferrable to another family member and is good through the following camp season. Cash refunds are not offered.

Camp Check-in

 

Check in is from 12:00pm-1:00pm on the first day and Check out on the last day is 12:00pm *Times may vary depending on the location.

Please fill out all health forms have your physician sign them and bring them into the first day of camp.

Campers will get to play at the brand new Pioneer Park Softball Stadium. One of the best turf softball facilities in the northeast, Pioneer Park Stadium also includes batting cages, bullpens, and more. Join us this summer for the best softball camp in New England!

Accommodations

 

Overnight campers at the Revolution Softball Camp will sleep on campus in dormitories. The staff lives in the dorms and chaperones all the off field/evening activities to provide supervision.
