Lady Bison Softball Camps

The objective of Lady Bison Softball Camps is to create an environment to develop softball skills and fundamentals, while providing an opportunity to showcase your talent in a competitive environment.

 

The mechanics and drills that are taught at our camps are used with our college players. We are determined to provide the best possible learning experience for our campers.

 

Our Lady Bison Softball Camps in Nashville, Tennessee range in age and we should have a program to fit your needs. If you do not see a date that works for you at this time please check back to the site as we add new sessions often.

Fall Elite Camp

Description

The Fall Elite ID Camp is designed for those players who have an interest in playing at a higher level.  For girls in grades 8-12, the camp is made up of high school players looking to improve their skills and gain exposure towards playing at the college level.  Campers will work to enhance all areas of hitting, including mechanics, bat speed, pitch recognition, and bunting/slapping. In addition, defense will also be covered, including footwork, fundamentals, and specific position skills. Campers will also have a chance to showcase their skills in live scrimmage games where campers will receive live situational coaching. Camp instructors will include current Lipscomb staff and players.

 

Required materials

Campers should bring, cleats, glove, helmet, bat, batting gloves, sun screen, and tennis shoes (in case of rain). All personal items must be clearly marked with names (bats, gloves, water bottles, etc.).

 

Suggested Materials: Sliding shorts/pants

 

Camps are open to any and all entrants limited only by number, age, and grade level.

 

Check-in: Camp registration will take place 30 minutes prior to the start of camp in Draper Diamond at Smith Stadium.

* In case of inclement weather, camp will be held in McQuiddy Gymnasium

 

Meals

Campers should bring snacks and drinks for breaks. Campers should bring a bag lunch for lunch break. Lunch will NOT be provided by Lipscomb. Water will be provided both days.

 

Accommodations: This is not an "overnight" camp. Players traveling from out of town will be responsible for securing their own accommodations.

 

What if I have to cancel a Clinic? 
We do not offer refunds on canceled campers, just a future camp credit if you decide to cancel, but we do have what is called "Cancellation Protection". We offer basic Cancellation Protection to allow participants some peace of mind in case plans change. This allows us to keep our prices low and provide the best service possible. Due at the time of registration, Cancellation Protection entitles you to a full refund of camp fees should you cancel your registration more than 14 days prior to the start of an overnight camp, and 7 days prior to the start of a day camp. If you cancel within 14 or 7 days of the start of your session, we will give you a camp credit for all money paid. The credit is valid for three years from camp date. Credit with insurance is transferable to family members or friends, and good toward a future camp.

 

No refunds or camp credits will be given if cancelled within 48 hours of camp.

 

Camps are open to any and all entrants limited only by number, age, and grade level.

 

Lipscomb University athletic trainers will be on-site in the event of any injuries.

Pitching/Catching Camp

Description

This Pitching/Catching Camp will feature the strategies and mechanics taught by the Lipscomb coaching staff. Camp will cover the fundamentals of pitching and catching, as well as pitch calling strategies and the mental game. Catchers should be prepared to catch pitchers near the end of camp. Camp staff will include the Lipscomb coaching staff and players.

 

Required materials: glove, cleats, turfs or tennis shoes, and catching equipment for the catchers.

 

Camps are open to any and all entrants limited only by number, age, and grade level.
