The Patriots had a successful season, in which Mason finished 3rd in the Atlantic 10 Conference Tournament and 4th in regular season play.

Description

George Mason Head Coach Joe Verbanic welcomes you to register for this summer's Five Tool Softball Camps! Camps will focus on the fundamentals of all aspects of the game including proper throwing mechanics, increasing arm strength, defensive fundamentals (IF, OF, pitching & catching), swing mechanics & base running. We have assembled a veteran group of coaches experienced in camp instruction & dedicated to helping each camper become a better softball player. Players of all ability levels are welcome. Campers divided by age and ability level.

 

Sample Daily Schedule
09:00am: Check in
09:15am: Stations/Skill instruction
11:00am: Speaker/Lecture
11:30am: LUNCH
12:15pm: Warm up
12:30pm: Position play/Skill instruction
01:00pm: Scrimmages
03:00pm: Pick up

 

After Care: We are introducing "After Care" for campers whose parents are unable to arrange a ride for them once camp ends. After care will last until 4:00pm. After Care cost is $10.00 per day and may be purchased on the registration page.

 

Equipment: All campers should bring: bat, helmet, cleats, glove, sunscreen, and a snack/lunch. Lunches can be purchased through the camp for $7 (price is subject to change). Please ensure campers names are on all their belongings!

Facility: The George Mason Softball Complex was selected as the site of the 2000 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division I Softball Championships. It is an outstanding, well-maintained and high-quality playing facility.

Accommodations

This is not an "overnight" camp. Players traveling from out of town will be responsible for securing their own accommodations.

 

Miscellaneous Information 

A complimentary t-shirt will be given out to each camper.

 

Refund Policy: If you cancel at least two weeks before the camp, you will receive a refund minus the ABC registration 8%. If you cancel at least one week before the camp, you will be issued a camp credit to be used toward a future camp for the amount you paid and if it is within a week before the camp, you will not be issued a refund. If you purchase the Cancellation Protection, you will be refunded the amount you paid for camp minus the amount paid for the protection at any time prior to start of the camp.

 

Please check your email regularly as this is our primary way we communicate. Any additional information that we need to convey as the camp draws closer will be passed on to you via the e-mail address that you supplied when you signed up for camp. Please make it a habit to check your e-mail daily, this will eliminate any confusion and or miscommunication.
