Each clinic is $130.00 per session.
The 2010 Position Play Clinics at The University of Washington offers players the opportunity to receive quality instruction from exceptional and experienced softball coaches. The University of Washington Coaching Staff has designed and implemented a camp format to attract softball talent to our campus.
Our goal is for you to experience first-hand how we teach, practice, and play the game here at UW. At the same time, it offers our entire coaching staff the ability to instruct players in a competitive and challenging environment.
General Information
Please review each of the options below and make your selection of sessions that you would like to attend on the registration page. Each clinic is $130 total- includes all 3 days.
Hitting Clinic- 9:00am-10:30am; Ages 12-18 Sold Out!
This hitting clinic will focus on important fundamentals of the swing. We will introduce multiple advanced drills to learn and perfect the swing. No matter your age, this clinic will address your needs. Campers will be grouped age appropriately. There will be ample opportunity to improve over this 3 day clinic while working with UW coaches & players. Sold Out!
Infield Clinic - 11:00am - 12:30pm; Ages 12-18 Sold Out!
This clinic will cover the specifics of glove work, footwork and fundamentals necessary to play the middle infield and the corners at all levels of fastpitch softball. Clinic attendees will be introduced to advanced infield drills and concepts and will be grouped age appropriately. Sold Out!
Outfield Clinic - 1:30pm-3:00pm; Ages 12-18
The outfield clinic will cover all aspects of outfield play & advanced fundamentals. Proper throwing form, specifics on glove work and footwork, and situational defensive play will be covered. Athletes will learn that playing the outfield is an art within itself - one of the most important positions on the field - the last line of defense for your team!
Catching Clinic - 3:30pm-5:00pm; Ages 12-18
Catchers - finally a camp JUST for you! We will cover all fundamentals relating to the position including, but not limited to: blocking, framing, throwing fundamentals, working with pitchers, pitch calling, working with umpires, and situational defensive play. Please provide your own catcher's gear.
Pitching Clinic - 5:30pm-7:00pm; Ages 8-18
This pitching clinic will provide specific instructions to the beginning to advanced pitcher. All pitchers MUST bring their own catcher at no additional charge. The catcher can be a mother, a father, a sister, a brother, a teammate, etc.

Each player must bring his own softball equipment. Batting helmet, batting gloves, bat, Glove, sweats, kneepads, athletic clothing, cleats or turf shoes, visor or hat, water bottle, and money for snacks and souvenirs. Catchers will need to bring their own gear.
Camp Check-in
Camp check-in takes place 30 minutes prior to the start of the session

Camp Parking Information
PARKING INFORMATION:
The most convenient place to park is in area E-21 (formerly E-12). You must pay for parking at the automated kiosk located in front of the Waterfront Activities Center. Your purchased parking voucher must be displayed inside your vehicle! The least expensive place to park is in the Montlake Parking Lot, E-1. On the map, lot E-21 (formerly E12) is located in R-18. Parking Lot E-1 Montlake is located in R-10.
Meals at Camp
Meals will "not" be provided for this session.
Camp Accommodations
"This is not an "overnight" camp. Players traveling from out of town will be responsible for securing their own hotel accommodations."
Miscellaneous Camp Info
What if I have to cancel a camp?
Should you register for camp and later decide you are unable to attend, you may receive a refund IF YOU PURCHASED CANCELLATION PROTECTION and your request is at least seven (7) days prior to the start of camp/clinic. No refunds will be issued IF cancellation protection was NOT selected and purchased online. Your refund will be sent to you in the form most likely as a check to the address we have on file. Please be advised refunds may take 4 weeks to process from the date of your request. You may however, request a credit for a future camp/clinic run by Washington Softball Camps, LLC. Please be advised, Washington Softball Camps LLC /camp credit vouchers are NOT applicable for use at University of Washington Softball Camps (separate affiliation). A voucher credits you the full amount of the camp (no admin fee deductions) and you are able to then apply this voucher with paid camp fee to a future camp.
