Crimson Softball Clinics

Crimson Softball Clinics at Harvard University offer an opportunity for players to receive valuable instruction on the fundamental skills of softball. Players will be made aware of the characteristics that define successful softball players. General courtesy, respect for teammates and opponents and the importance of hard work will be taught to the players through example by the Crimson Coaches. Drill progressions will be aimed towards recognizing and developing good habits in all aspects of the game. Contests built into drills capture the learner’s attention, which results in attentive practice. Organized games between players will provide a competitive outlet after specific drills have been practiced.

Our Crimson Softball Clinics at Harvard University range in ages and we should have a program to fit your needs. If you do not see a date that works for you at this time please check back to the site as we add new sessions often. These clinics are open to any and all entrants.

Ages: All ages and abilities

OPEN EVENT IN NEW WINDOW

Description

This fastpitch clinic series is for girls of all ages and abilities who are interested in learning and developing the skill and proper technique of pitching, catching and/or hitting.  We have structured the clinic to accommodate athletes by age and ability. We will make sure that each student is placed in the proper group.

Pitchers

Beginning pitchers will learn the proper technique of the fastpitch motion. Intermediate level pitchers will focus on control and speed development along with learning the change-up and curve pitches. Advanced pitchers will continue to work on pitches they currently throw, as well as learn new pitches.  Pitchers need to bring someone who can catch for them.

Please Pay: NCAA Rules require us to charge a nominal fee ($10.00) for any pitcher who brings a high school -aged individual to act as their personal catcher. This $10.00 fee is not a payment to hire a catcher for the clinic sessions, it is a fee we have to collect if you bring a high school student as your catcher. Please pay this fee during registration check-out on-line, or in person at the clinic.

Catchers

Catchers will work on improving their skills (including set-ups, blocking, and throwing to bases) through supervised drills and teaching sessions.

Every catcher must have their own set of catching gear.

Hitters

Hitters will begin by working on the fundamentals of hitting, which will progress during the course of the clinic.

Attention: Please check the box(es) on the registration page for the session(s) that you will be attending.

Cost: The cost of the clinic series is $250.00 for a single (five week) session, $350.00 for two sessions (the cost includes a 7%, non-refundable registration fee).  Space is limited, so please register early.

Softee balls and extra equipment will be provided if needed.
