Santa Clara Softball Camps

Below you’ll find our school’s Division I college softball camps, softball showcases and instructional camps and clinics. Visit us in beautiful Santa Clara, California for a softball camp or showcase at Santa Clara University and show us your skills!

 

Our camps range in ages, are open to any and all participants, and we should have a program to fit your needs. If you don’t see a date that works for you at this time please check back as we add new sessions often.

 

Our softball camps in Santa Clara, California are a great opportunity to take your game to the next level. Each camp is hosted by our college staff here at Santa Clara University.

Santa Clara Youth Weekly Pitching Clinic (Mondays)

Description

The Santa Clara Youth Pitching Clinic offers players the opportunity to learn pitching from college coaches and players. These camps are limited to 10 players to ensure that each individual will work closely with the SCU pitching coach and staff. These camps will run similar to group lessons.  Bringing your own catcher is recommended but not required.

 

OBJECTIVE- The Youth pitching clinics we will focus on building a foundation of proper mechanics, mastering pitch location, increasing power and speed, and movement pitch development. 

 

Clinic is limited to the first 10 campers who register!

 

Dates/Times: Mondays | 5:00pm-6:00pm

September 17th, 24th, October 1st & 8th

 

Equipment: Each player must bring her own softball equipment. Players should bring a glove, bat, helmet, cleats, hat, and any other equipment they feel necessary to compete. Catchers will need to bring their own gear.

 

Please note that NCAA rules and regulations restrict us from certain recruiting communications with players and parents, please keep the content of your emails camp related.

Santa Clara Advanced Weekly Pitching Camp (Mondays)

Description

The Santa Clara Advanced Pitching Clinic offers players the opportunity to compete and train at the highest level. These clinics are limited to 5 players to ensure that each individual will work closely with the SCU pitching coach and staff. The weekly clinics will run similar to group lessons,with each pitcher throwing to their own catcher.

 

Note: Each pitcher needs to bring their own catcher.  Any pitcher who is not able to bring a catcher will throw the workout into a net.

 

OBJECTIVE- The Advanced pitching clinic will focus on building and maintaining a foundation of proper mechanics, developing speed and power, and fine tuning movement pitches.  The advanced pitching clinic will also touch on mental aspects of the game such as mental toughness, grit, count advantages, and learning how to get hitters to get themselves out. 

 

Camp is limited to the first 5 campers who register!

 

Dates/Times: Mondays | 6:00pm-7:00pm

September 17th, 24th, October 1st & 8th

SCU Advanced Weekly Fielding Clinic

Description

The Santa Clara Advanced Infield Clinic offers players the opportunity to compete and train at the highest level. The weekly clinics will run similar to group lessons, each infielder working at all positions. 

 

Note: Each fielder needs to bring all their equipment .

 

OBJECTIVE- The Advanced infield  clinic will focus on athletic functional training movements. This includes the fundamental infield mechanics as well as advanced mechanics for all ages. It will be a progressive approach that allows the athlete to work in and out of their training comfort zone. 

 

Dates/Times: Mondays | 4:00pm-6:00pm

September 18th and  25th

The Santa Clara Elite Camp offers players the opportunity to compete and train at the highest level.  The SCU coaching staff will teach and manage players the same way they do the current SCU softball team, focusing on areas of offensive strategies, team defense, as well as individual pitching, hitting, and defense skill work.  SCU Elite Camps are a great opportunity to show off your skills in a competitive atmosphere surrounded by some of the nation's top softball players.

 

 

Camp is limited to the first 30 campers who register!

 

Equipment: Each player must bring her own softball equipment. Players should bring a glove, bat, helmet, cleats, hat, and any other equipment they feel necessary to compete. Catchers will need to bring their own gear.

What if I have to cancel a camp? 
We do not offer refunds on canceled campers, just a future camp credit if you decide to cancel, but we do have what is called "Cancellation Protection". We offer basic Cancellation Protection to allow participants some peace of mind in case plans change. This allows us to keep our prices low and provide the best service possible. Due at the time of registration, Cancellation Protection entitles you to a full refund of camp fees should you cancel your registration more than 14 days prior to the start of an overnight camp, and 7 days prior to the start of a day camp. If you cancel within 14 or 7 days of the start of your session, we will give you a camp credit for all money paid. The credit is valid for three years from camp date at any of our national locations. Credit with insurance is transferable to family members or friends, and good toward a future camp.
