Braves claim their first MVC Tournament title

Jacqueline Vitale and Miriam Wegmann each hit solo home runs and Amanda Clack robbed Creighton's Bailey Dawson of a potential game-tying two-run homer in the bottom of the fourth to highlight a 2-0 Bradley win over the Bluejays in the championship game of the 2009 State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Championship at the EastSide Centre. The tournament title is the first for the Braves and Bradley receives the MVC's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

Winter Skills Clinics .....

Pitching Clinic (9:45am - 11:45am) - $70.00
This clinic is designed for pitchers looking to develop elite level movement pitches. Our main focus will be on the keys to ball movement with emphasis on how to increase spin rates and explosiveness. Pitchers will learn what it takes to build themselves up to throw at an elite level. Capped at 16. If you do not have a catcher participating in the catching clinic, you will need to provide your own catcher.

Catching Clinic (9:45am - 11:45am) - $70.00
This clinic will concentrate on building a solid foundation to create speed and agility for elite level catchers. Our skill instruction will place emphasis on balance and agility movements to improve all aspects of the catching position. Skills we will cover include: balanced stance and framing, blocking and recovery, positioning and throwing. Capped at 16. This clinic will be run in conjunction with the main Pitching Clinic. If you came with a pitcher you will be able to catch them. No equipment provided.

Junior Pitching Clinic (12:00pm - 1:15pm) - $60.00 (Grades: 4th-7th)

This Clinic will focus on the foundations of pitching: mechanics, explosiveness, and speed. Instruction will help maintain a proper sequence and sharpen control. Pitchers will walk away with various drills to incorporate into their everyday routine. This will be the only clinic option for this age group. Catchers are required. Capped at 16.

Speed & Agility Clinic (1:00pm - 3:00pm) - $70.00
