Braves claim their first MVC Tournament title

Jacqueline Vitale and Miriam Wegmann each hit solo home runs and Amanda Clack robbed Creighton's Bailey Dawson of a potential game-tying two-run homer in the bottom of the fourth to highlight a 2-0 Bradley win over the Bluejays in the championship game of the 2009 State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Championship at the EastSide Centre. The tournament title is the first for the Braves and Bradley receives the MVC's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

Individual Skills Sessions .....

Pitching Only Session (9:00am - 10:15am) - $65.00 ...
In addition to the basics pitchers will learn each pitches mechanical importance while working towards learning how to master each individual pitch. Being able to pitch at the next level requires control and placement in addition to movement and speed. Take the opportunity to work with Bradley Head Coach and Pitching Coach, Amy Hayes. Pitchers are asked to provide their own catchers.

Catching Only Session (9:00am - 10:15am) - $65.00
Catching is more than just being a backstop. Learn how to be the other working half of the pitcher catcher battery. Emphasis on fundamentals but more importantly learning how to create an athletic stance, blocking mobility, creating a quick throw and faster POP time, and overall communication behind the plate.

Slapping Only Session (9:00am - 10:15am) - $50.00
Slapping has become a lost art. Learn the basic mechanics that give a solid foundation that leads into a solid short and power game. Learn the philosophies behind what slapping encompasses, its implementation, and its effect on a defense, as well as learning how to implement both the short game and power slap.

All-Skills Camp (10:15am - 4:00pm) - $125.00 ...
An all-around focus on the complete athlete will be the primary focus in the all-skills camp. The focus is more than simple fundamentals and we work hard to provide quality instruction on skills that lead to the an athlete's overall improvement in both individual skills and that translates to successful players on the field.

These same skills have allowed our team to see a steady climb in offensive records and setting seven program records in 2014 on the way to Bradley's 2014 Missouri Valley Tournament Championship and NCAA Tournament Appearance, it's 2nd in program history and all within the last six years.

The All-Skills Camp will feature .....

Small group instruction: We structure the camp to allow for small group instruction to provide more hands on interaction to help in the development of each athlete. We take the time to focus on individual improvement.

Skill Instruction: Each portion of camp is designed to work and develop skills beyond the basics. At this age we all know how to catch, throw, and swing a bat. Our priority is to promote the development of skills required of a collegiate athlete while introducing them to a collegiate style atmosphere and practice setting.

Scrimmages: Following lunch the camp is divided into teams coached by the Bradley players to scrimmage. Use the opportunity to take what you learned and play against others looking to play at the next level all under the supervision of the Bradley staff and players.

The All-Skills Camp is limited to 50 campers and spots are reserved on a first come first serve basis based on payment in full. There is no limit on the individual skills camp (pitching, catching, slapping). Pitchers are only asked to provide their own catchers.
Registration closes July 10th. You may call or email within 48hrs to secure a camp spot should there be space still available. No refunds will be given after July 1st and will be used as credit towards a future camp.
