BSU Softball Camps at Bemidji State University are dedicated to providing a softball camp that is both instructional and informational along with creating a great atmosphere to learn!

 
The coaching staff here at the Bemidji State University prides itself on teaching the small things in the game of softball to players of all ages and ability levels. Our camps will cover the basic fundamentals of the swing, drills to help with proper swing path and the mental approach to your plate appearance. The drills shared are what we do and work on at practice every week. Each camp participant will receive one-on-one time with our Beaver staff and members of the 2020-2021 BSU Softball team. Description

The Bemidji State Softball Program is hosting a summer softball camp for high school age players interested in hitting, pitching, infield, outfield and catching. Camp will be divided up into position specific sessions such as pitching, catching, fielding and hitting.The pitching, catching and fielding sessions. Our summer camp will cover the fundamentals of the swing, drills to help with proper swing path, the mental approach to your plate appearance, defensive insight and drills with pitchers and catchers. Our pitchers will be able to help increase velocity, accuracy and proper spin on pitches. Each camp participant will have an option to a free campus tour and will receive one-on-one time with Bemidji State staff and members of the 2020-2021 Beaver softball team. Camp sessions are filled on a first come, first serve basis and will have limited number due to COVID-19. We will be implementing safety procedures that follow the CDC guidelines to keep all campers and staff safe.

  • Session One: Offense 9:00-10:30 AM
  • Session Two: Defense 11:00AM-12:30 PM
  • Break
  • Optional Tour: 1:00 PM
  • Session Three: Pitching 2:00-3:15 PM
  • Session Four: Catching 4:30-5:30 PM
  • Optional Campus Tour: 6:00PM

 

What to Bring

Cleats, tennis shoes, glove, helmet, batting gloves, face mask (if worn), catchers equipment (if catcher). Please bring any equipment they own that is needed for regular softball practice and/or games. Please bring your own equipment due to COVID-19 we will be unable to provide forgotten equipment for players or share equipment.

 

Check In

There will be two check in locations to help separate and keep numbers low while checking in to follow with safety guidelines. Once registered we will assign you closer to camp date to a check in location.

 

Meals

Lunch will not be provided. Snacks are allowed outside of the Fred P Baker Training Facility turf.

For parent there will be an option to stay but must abide and follow social distancing policies and safety policies.

In case of rain we will move the sessions inside to the Fred P Baker Training Facility turf.

Should you request a refund you must do so at minimum 7 days prior to the events start date. You will be charged $50.00 to cover registration and processing fees.
