Averett Softball Camps

Averett Softball Camps are designed to help improve the performance of softball players of all ages and skill levels. Campers will receive instruction from some of the top coaches in the country who care about the betterment of each individual player. Averett Softball Camps are dedicated to the development and growth of all campers who attend.

 

Our camps range in ages and we should have a program to fit your needs. If you do not see a date that works for you at this time please check back to the site as we add new sessions often.

Winter Kids Camp

Description

Calling all Cougar Cubs!!! Come join TEAM 34 for a fun filled day. During this camp we will focus on the basic fundamentals of the game to help improve all skills. Campers will be instructed by our staff and student athletes. All registered campers will be entered into a drawling where three individuals will be selected to be on the field during warm ups, throw out the first pitch, and join the Cougar Softball Team during the National Anthem at one of our home games (home game is to be determined). All campers will get a texted photo with Team 34 and an action shot from camp. They will also have the opportunity to get autographs from team members. 

 

Cost: 75.00

 

Times: 12:30-4:00 P.M.

 

Please Bring: Tennis-shoes, glove, bat, helmet, water, snack, catching gear (if necessary for your position).

Description

Receive one-on-one instruction from your Averett Softball Coaching staff! This is a great opportunity for high school aged players to learn skills that will better their off-season training.

 

The pitching clinic will mainly focus on sequence, mechanics, spin and mental aspects of the game. Campers will be working to create proper movement patterns with different variable drills to improve the arm swing, feel the hips working, creating a strong lead leg block, and more. 

 

Campers will walk away with video of them pitching, velocity readings from the radar gun for each pitch, and a list of drills they can apply to their own own bullpens. 

 

The hitting clinic will focus on basic measures of the swing such as bat speed, bat path and efficiency. They will go through different drills that involve stance variables, grip variables, bat variables, and ball variables. Campers will be provided a texted video of their swing, exit velocity, and a list of drills they can do on their own when they leave the camp. 

 

Pitching Clinic: 12:30-3:00 P.M.  .....  $75.00

Hitting Clinic: 3:30-6:00 P.M. ..... $75.00
